Once you’re signed in, you and your friends will be escorted to a ready room, where you’ll be outfitted with

• a virtual reality headset,
• a custom “blaster” controller, and
• a backpack computer that ties it all together.

From there, you’ll be taken to the arena stage, where the VR experience truly begins.

The arena stage is cavernous, allowing you to walk around inside a virtual space without risk of hitting walls, furniture, or other people. While you’re on the stage, we use motion capture technology to track everyone’s location in real-time. This means that you and the other players can see each other, even in inside VR. (It also means the system will warn you if you’re getting too close to a real-world obstacle.)

Inside virtual reality, you’ll be able to interact with the world around you with not only the custom-made virtual blaster, but with your own bare hands as well. Depending on the experience you’ve chosen, you can use hand gestures to trigger game elements and activate special powers.

When the virtual experience is over, you’ll be directed to the ready room, where you’ll remove your gear and return to mundane reality… until the next time you visit DreamTrace!
